Public
Safety
Since 9/11 all Americans have been seriously concerned about our national security and Public Safety. Each community throughout the United States of America must do
its part as we solidify a united front against all crimes for the safety of our citizens. I stand committed to do my part to support our national security by endorsing public safety at the local level here in Hillsborough County. I consider Public Safety, which includes Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services,
among our top priorities. I will vote for the necessary
budgetary commitment to strongly reflect that support; anything less would be unacceptable!
Growth
and Transportation
"I believe that many of the traffic problems Hillsborough commuters face everyday could have been avoided. Our county is one of the fastest growing in the nation. Therefore, long-range planning for road improvements, water, schools and other community requirements will better meet the needs of our residents while protecting the environment. Better planning ensures more effective use of tax
dollars."
Water
 "Providing a clean and adequate water supply will always be a major priority for me. Our first desalination plant will begin providing water to residents in the near future, but much more has to be done. I will be a strong advocate for providing reclaimed water to more communities across the county and will promote commonsense conservation
efforts. I also work with the Florida Lake Watch program to
help protect and preserve our water resources. "
Public Service
"As
your County Commissioner, you will never have to wonder where I stand – I will stand with you. My door will always be open to every resident of our county and I will visit your community for regular town hall meetings and other events. I pledge to always be responsive to your needs and respectful of your
ideas."
